We provide consultancy and bespoke eCommerce packages, based on the open-source 'Interchange' eCommerce application server from the IC Dev Group.

We do a variety of work, for example, we have written a number of custom payment modules which interface between Interchange and a payment service provider. Some of these are: Protx, Datacash, Moneris, iDeal, PaypalExpress, GoogleCheckout to name but a few. Where appropriate, "Verified by Visa / Secure by Mastercard" versions are available.

We have written a number of custom shipping modules, for example ParcelForce, the Royal Mail, Fast Lane International and others.

We have built a number of customised Interchange sites with bespoke features. To give two examples covering part of the wide variety that is possible:

NaturalEurope.com provides certified natural cosmetics from Europe to the US market and beyond. This site uses a number of bespoke functions, for example, the product listing pages have items grouped together in 'option groups' when they are part of a group of similar items, maybe with the size changing. Other items are grouped in 'colour groups', eg nail polishes or eye makeup which vary only by the colour. The flypages for these grouped items display all possible options in a matrix along with the descriptive text and colour swatches, and use custom Javascript to allow the customer to select a colour or option and interactively change the descriptive text, main image, pricing and product data, and then purchase the selected item. Customers have a choice of AuthorizeNet, Paypal, or GoogleCheckout for payment.

A very different example is Smokestop.co.nz, which is run by a New Zealand doctor with an interactive quit-smoking programme. This has been through a formal trial and found to be more effective than other competing methods, and now has a contract with the NZ Ministry of Health to supply licensed packages through hospitals and local surgeries. The style is minimalist. The interactive quit-smoking sessions include a forum, a dedicated IRC chatroom (the IRC hosted on our machines), email support and SMS text message support and a dozen question-answer pages per session throughout the weekly sessions over the three-month programme.
